ENN Canada

The holiday season is both an exciting, and very busy time of the year. We at ENN Canada recognize that not all businesses had the luxury of shutting down during the holidays and therefore remained open to serve our clients and the business that depend on LNG for their transportation needs. Throughout this past holiday season, ENN LNG stations in British Columbia remained open 24 hours per day 7 days per week including Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We would like to publically recognize our outstanding employees who are not only committed to providing our fleet customers with outstanding service, but who also are dedicated to "fueling the future" with LNG! We wish everyone and their loved ones much success for the New Year!

ENN Canada will be participating in Natural Gas Vehicles Canada, the country's largest forum dedicated to the future of natural gas vehicles from October 20-22. In addition to a mobile fuel station on display, ENN Vice President, Aaron Gao, will be speaking on the topic of natural gas infrastructure in Canada. This event is an excellent opportunity to explore solutions specific to the Canadian market and network with your industry peers. More information and a link to registration can be found at www.ngvevent.com/canada.

Natural gas is quickly becoming a viable and attractive alternative to diesel. It's abundant and inexpensive, with a rapidly growing product line available. However, it's not without its challenges. The fuelling infrastructure is still in development and the capital cost of new equipment is high. We'll speak to fleet managers about the challenges and opportunities available to carriers of all sizes as it relates to natural gas. We'll discuss the shipper's role in developing a natural gas trucking program. And we'll provide an update on the status of Canada's natural gas fuelling network. To register visit: www.surfacetransportationsummit.com/register.

ENN Canada plans to construct and operate a natural gas liquefaction facility in Ontario to support our growing LNG operations across our on-road, marine, and mining business segments. In addition, LNG is a cost-effective alternative to bring gas service to remote or less populated areas of the province where the cost of building transmission pipelines may be prohibitive. As a member of ENN Group we have a depth of expertise in the construction and operation of LNG manufacturing plants, with five existing LNG liquefaction plants and one LNG import terminal in Asia. More details about this project will be released in the near future.

More than 1000 trucks fuelled on BC Natural Gas in first two months of operation

Chilliwack, BC – April 3, 2014 – ENN Canada today announced that it has achieved an important milestone as the company fueled up the 1000th customer at ENN’s new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) station in Chilliwack.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and positioned along Highway 1, the fuel station is located on one of the busiest trucking corridors in British Columbia.  “This is an important milestone not only for ENN Canada but for the LNG industry in B.C.”, said Henry Cai, CEO of ENN Canada. “With 1000 trucks filled in under two months, it is clear the BC trucking industry has embraced LNG as a safer, cleaner and cost competitive alternative to diesel.”  Cai also noted that “on average, LNG is 30-40% less expensive than diesel and produces up to 25% less emissions.”

Customers have experienced early success with the station and LNG. "We are very pleased to partner with ENN on this project.  It is important for Arrow to always explore new ways to operate our business more efficiently and environmentally” said Tim Bell, VP and GM of Arrow Transportation Systems.  “ENN has worked closely with us to reduce the challenges in transitioning to this technology by providing full-service LNG stations that are operated by highly trained attendants,” he continued.  “We have high hopes for the LNG initiative in the long term and look forward to continuing this partnership with ENN into the future.” Based in BC, ArrowTransportation Systems recently made the transition to natural gas and is fueling at the Chilliwack ENN station.

Since opening in February 2014, the Chilliwack station has continued to grow a diverse base of trucking clients including Arrow and Sutco. All of the ENN liquefied natural gas stations are full-service and operated by highly trained station attendants and technicians.  “We chose this location because we had confidence in British Columbia, and the BC trucking industry, that they were eager to embrace BC Natural Gas.” said Cai. “Their confidence in adopting this technology has been critical to our early success, and we’re committed to building additional stations across the Province as demand continue to increase”.

CALGARY, AB. – November 19, 2013 – Ferus Natural Gas Fuels and ENN Canada Corporation announced a Joint Venture today to construct, own and operate two LNG liquefaction plants in Canada. The plants will be strategically located in Vancouver, British Columbia and Edmonton, Alberta to service the on-road trucking market as well as other high-horsepower applications including marine, rail, mining, and oil and gas exploration.

“The benefits of fueling with natural gas are significant”, said Henry Cai, CEO of ENN Canada. “Natural gas over diesel represents a 30-40% cost savings to the end-user and contributes up to a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.”

"These projects will help build the market for clean burning natural gas as a transportation fuel,” said Ken Hughes, Alberta’s Energy Minister. “It is another step on the road to finding new uses and new markets for our abundant natural gas resources here and in British Columbia.” The partnership brings together two major players in the North American natural gas fueling market. Ferus Natural Gas Fuels specializes in building and operating cryogenic and micro-LNG plants and distribution equipment, and ENN Canada, which is developing LNG refueling infrastructure across the country, brings expertise in the construction and operation of LNG/LCNG stations and provides assistance in acquiring and transitioning to natural gas vehicles.

“Lack of infrastructure is one of the major challenges associated with the development of the LNG fueling market”, said Dick Brown, CEO of Ferus Natural Gas Fuels. “In order for our customers to make the switch to natural gas, they need certainty of an uninterrupted supply of LNG to fuel their equipment. These two LNG liquefaction plants, along with the specialized distribution equipment and planned retail fueling stations, will ensure that supply, which in turn will promote and facilitate the widespread usage of LNG in Western Canada.” Both facilities will initially be built to produce 100,000 US gallons per day of LNG, with the ability to expand as demand grows. Site selection will be determined within six months, and construction will be initiated immediately afterward. First product is expected early in 2016. As Operator, Ferus Natural Gas Fuels is responsible for the design, engineering, construction, operation, and marketing and sales of both facilities. ENN Canada has committed to a significant amount of the LNG produced at these plants for its planned fueling stations.
